Keep reading to learn more about her role at Loop & Tie, her hobbies and alternative careers she thinks would be fun.
What does a Sr. Manager of Buying & Merchandising do?
In my role, I am responsible for developing and implementing purchasing and quarterly collection strategies to drive sales. I use data to help us determine when and how to highlight new makers, market trends, and social impact efforts. I also help identify vendors that make an impact in the world and align with our company mission.
Other responsibilities I have include analyzing and interpreting key business issues, such as monitoring selling, inventory levels, and margin goals on an ongoing basis. Lastly, I forecast gifting and purchasing trends, shop local markets, and attend trade shows.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Loop & Tie?
Honestly, I like everything about working at Loop & Tie! I love working from home – I don’t think I could go back to an office or commuting after this. I also really like the work that we do, the people that I work with, the flexibility, and the opportunities I have to grow in my career.
What are some of your hobbies?
Outside of work, and sometimes for my coworkers, I teach yoga sculpt classes. I also enjoy morning walks, rollerblading, going to concerts, and trying new burgers around New York City.
If you had to start a new career tomorrow, what would you want to pursue?
I have a few alternate careers I’d consider pursuing. I think it’d be fun to either open a vintage clothing store, become a DJ, or work for Peloton as an instructor.
